Karen Gaffney, Ecologist
Karen Gaffney has over twenty-five years of experience in the assessment, protection and restoration of watersheds and riparian ecosystems in California and the western U.S. She has managed numerous large-scale assessment, planning and restoration projects in coastal stream ecosystems, and has significant experience working on inter-disciplinary teams. Karen is a Switzer Environmental Leadership Fellow, is the past president of the California Society for Ecological Restoration and has served on the board of the Watershed Management Council. She is on the advisory committee of the California Statewide Watershed Program and teaches Watershed Ecology and Restoration at the Santa Rosa Junior College.
Katherine Gledhill, Watershed Planner
Katherine Gledhill has over twenty years of experience with watershed planning and GIS analyses. While at Circuit Rider Productions, Ms. Gledhill managed all aspects of a comprehensive assessment and planning program focused on California coastal watersheds. She has managed numerous projects that include watershed assessment, analysis of GIS data, development of baselines, watershed management and monitoring plans, and dissemination of data to the watershed community. Katherine has extensive experience with GIS, CAD, GPS and other technologies in support of assessment, planning and restoration design. Katherine has provided training to agency staff and watershed groups on the use of GIS and other technologies.
